A Little Bit Better

Ah, finally.
The last few post haven't had photos. My post feel bare, naked, without any photos. My photos might not be amazing, but they sure do make everything feel...better? I like having them around; they make up for my lack of post topics.

I've found a new love. It just so happens to be Mineral Water. I got some last night and found it incredibly soothing.

I couldn't find the brand I brought for a Walgreens last night, but figured these would do, especially when they're cheeper.

I'm actually thinking about cropping this one to be focused on the cap and the edge of the bottle. Whuddya think?

Possibly my favorite. I think. Waaiiiit, is it this one or the other one? Meh. I like them both!

Having fun making bottle music. The wind decided to help me. I was staring into the sun, so I have this squinty, I-can't-see look going on.

Now on to yesterdays photos:

When I went to D.C, I visited my Grandparents and my Grandmother bought me several dresses. I'm not much of a dress person, but I have several. I do like to wear them for a couple hours, at the max, but I think the main reason I love them is the fact I get to wear heels and I freakin' LOVE heels. I'm not sure why I like those ether... ANYWAY, I told my Gmother I'd take pictures of them for her. I only accomplished taking pictures of this dress so far because afterwords, I was tired.
It was really hard to get any good pictures. There were large patches of clouds and they'd roll over the sun as soon as I was taking the picture, or they'd head off, making the picture brighter than I attended. Curse you bad lighting.

Those are my favorite heels. Ever. My Gmother also bought me those. I. LOVE. THEM. Just saying. (Oh, gawh, I'm sounding like such a...a...girl. 0_0 MAKE IT STOP!)
My cat, Leo, kept on trying to join me in the photos. Of course, when I wanted her in the photo, she wouldn't stay. Leo, you mean little kitty, you.
Since I had it on on self-timer (5 pictures each round) I would get a series of pictures, each with my hair in the process of blowing in the wind.

Okay, my blog has been lightened up with pictures.
YES.

This Was A Post

&%&*%%*$#$@#$%^& BLOGGER.

Anyway*.

So, I had a nice little post that was a introduction to something new I'm starting: What About Wednesdays?
It took my about hour to write between chatting with friends, being distracted by Youtube, and being picky about which song was playing on iTunes.

I finished it up, made a collage of pictures for it, pressed publish and WHAM!

It wouldn't publish.
I tapped the button about twenty times. I decided it was just being screwy and without thinking clicked the blog button.

Hey, look! My post hadn't published! Ha!
In fact, apparently I wasn't even signed in. I was on the bleeping home page.

>.<

Okay, I took a deep breath. I bet it saved it.
Nope. It didn't even save a whole paragraph.
So, instead of rewriting the post and growled a blogger, thoughts some angry thoughts, and wrote this; explaining why my totally awesome post wasn't being totally awesome.

Blurgh.

Anyway! I have a new series type thing coming called, What About Wednesdays?
They're going to be on Wednesdays (obviously) and they're going to focus on the little things, like faces, leaves on bushes, hands, smiles.

You would have it right now if it wasn't for &%#@* blogger. Sigh.

With Much Love,

*I realize I say 'anyway' a lot. It's further proof that I get off topic a lot. Oh well! xD You have permission to call my 'Anyway' now.

My leg hurts.

Oh, Lia, what did you do now?

White-water rafted. Yes, I (and family) finally hiked on down to the USNWC (U.S National Whitewater Center). My brother, Sam, is a rafting guide there. After visiting and busting my butt on a raft with him, I can say he is a good guide too!

Anyway, the whole trip was pretty cool! When we arrived we discovered we couldn't raft with Sam till 4:45, which was his next opening. So, my brother Aaron, his wife Emily and I attacked the 'Canyon Crossing'. Before your mind produces images of the Grand Canyon, it was just a like a dip between hills. Anyway.

We crossed some high, nerve-racking bridges then zip-lined back. To tell you the truth: that part wasn't really exciting. At all. It just made me really thirsty.

But then we whitewater rafted. Best. Thing. Ever.
Okay, so,this is odd. I like heights. It don't mind them. They never bother me till I have time to really get into the details of how I'd die if I fell. On the other hand, I'm deathly afraid of deep water. Heck, of water. I seriously can't look at a picture of a sunken boat. If I'm in the shower and I think about the ocean, I have to calm myself down. I'm pathetic.

Anyyyyywaaaay, back to the story.
So, I really, really enjoyed the rafting. My brother took us on the Wilderness Channel first, which is longer than the Competition one, but not as 'challenging.'. He was explaining us that both of the channels drop the same amount of feet, just one does it in a shorter distance.

On the first time around the Wilderness Channel, I almost fell out twice. Thankfully, my brother, who was pretty much lounging like it was nothing, caught me and kept me on. I never almost fell off again.

My mother did fall off.
Sam was making us do something called 'surfing' (I think), and the water was coming up into the boat. I guess it kind of just dragged my mom away. Luckily, we were in a part shallow enough for her to stand up and she did...only to be hit by another raft. We all got a good laugh out of that.

We went on the WC twice and the CC three times. It was a lot of fun. But I know, I know. You're wondering what this had to do with my leg?

Well, I guess I was using my right leg to brace myself a little too much because it's SUPER sore. (My little complaint of the day.)

I ended up doing the 'Mega-Zipline', which really wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. Then we all went out to eat. My mom, Aunt Jean and I stayed at this incredibly awesome Bed & Breakfast. So. Yeah.

Sorry this post was so awkward and strange. I'm not really feeling the juices, but figured I'd tell you guys about my trip!

Three Little Pigs

Best 'Three Little Pigs' ever.

I hope you can understand, even if you don't know the 3LP story. Make sure you make it to the end, because it's the best part.

Football

If I could play football, I would.  That's why I always enjoy going to the Homeschool Football games. I don't like watching sports on T.V. That's one thing I don't care much for. But I do like going to sporting events; especially football games.

Yesterday, I spent the whole day at football games, freezing my butt off. (It has been cold for the past few days. Thank the Lord that it's heated back up. It's in the 70's now.) I got some good tackle photos, but the Youth and JV never do some crazy, sideline tackles. I put my camera up before the Varsity, who usually attack everyone on the sidelines, because it started raining.

So, I'll give you what I was able to capture! :] (Oh, and there will be a TON of photos of Allie, my football junkie friend. Isn't she pretty? :D)

If you ever have a question about football: this is your girl.

Hm. Maybe one day I'll be a sports photographer. That would be pretty beast. :]
