Guest post: Palindrome

Well here I am.
Lia wanted me to do a guest post for her, so thats what I'm doing..
I guess I will do a....

...movie review of pirates of the caribbean 4

so
the movie was overall okay
I mean, it wasn't really anything spectacular.

The story line was okay, but sort of a repeat of all of the other stories. I mean, pirates, on a quest to find a treasure. It got a little boring.

The characters were okay.
of course my favorite was:

but he is always my favorite.

Blackbeard was okay. He wasn't quite as... well, he wasn't quite like I've always imagined the real Edward Teech. He was too... wishy-washy in my opinion. However, they really chose a good actor for him.

Angelica wasn't that great.
The relationship between her and Jack really bugged me.
Jack is more of a flight risk than a kind to be tied down to a woman.
Angelica being in the movie added a great deal of immodesty and sexual innuendo's that weren't in the other movies. I wasn't very fond of her.

Philip the missionary was a pretty good character.
It did bother me when, towards the end of the movie, he let lust kill him.

Serena the mermaid was another okay character.
She added more immodesty to the movie.
I disliked the whole idea of the Mermaids being added from the very beginning and as the movie went, I disliked them more and more. The mermaids take men away, with what is called the mermaids kiss. I'm sure you can use your imagination for the rest.
I really didn't like the mermaids.

and the rest of the characters were sort of minor.

The movie has small uses of voodoo.
lots of sexual innuendoes and immodesty.
Obviously the use of alcohol (rum).
small bits of paganism
and lots of mocking of religion.

over all it was an
okay
movie.

I definitely wouldn't see it again, and I wouldn't take little kids to see it.

if you, like me, absolutely LOVED the first three movies, and wanted to see the continuation of the story, I would recommend watching it.

If you are just now entering the pirate scene,
or you thought the first movies were okay, I wouldn't recommend it.

savvy?

Character Profile: Lanimus Emkari

You remember the Character Profiles I did a while back? Well, I deiced to do another one. This one of my "bad guys". His name is Lanimus Emkari. He's pretty, freakin' awesome if I do say so myself.

Oh, and this time I'm only going to give a picture and a small brief on his part in the story. So, enjoy!

(Okay, it was hard to find a picture that fit Lanimus using Shia Labouf as his 'model'. xD This was th best one I could find. Awesome movie, by the way.)
Lanimus is the youngest Sora (King) out of all the Worlds. He's clever, manipulative and charismatic, which means no one questions his background. Lanimus has already gained the trust of all of Remar, the world he's Sora over. Everyone is amazed by his wisdom, but none know the real Lanimus and what his mission really is. If they did, they wouldn't entrust their lives with him any longer.

Okay, that was really, really crappy, but hey--you get the idea, right? Lanimus, well, I love Lanimus. AWESOME should be his name. And look who's modeling for him! Yeah, you get my point. Lanimus rocks.

Insane Rambling...

Everything always sounds better in my head.

I actually think I'm a wonderful writer...in my head. I, for some odd reason, can't seem to get whats in my head on to paper/blog post, ect. It drives me crazy.

I've been working on my story plot (outlining and all that) in hopes of actually getting somewhere in my stories. I get frustrated because I'll sit in bed at night writing in my head and it's awesome, but when I try to type it out...it just doesn't work.

I sure ( I HOPE) other people have the same problem. So, I guess my goal for this summer is to get some of the writing I have in my head onto paper. It might sound simple, but it's not. It's really, really hard.

Like, I had a wonderful blog post about this written out in my head but it, obviously, not coming out right. I really need to work on this.

Well, I'm done telling you my sob story about writing.
How are YOU guys?
There is going to be new stuff coming up. In other words: things that aren't my boring ramblings...

I should be coming up with some more Photo Challenge (because I've totally not been doing it) for you guys. I just have to remember to bring my camera places. And I'm also very, very lazy. (This I will overcome!!!!! xD)

I will also have some of my story up for you guys to see! I can't believe I'm actually going to SHARE it with you guys. I think it will be the first chapter of my book. Hopefully, you guys will like it.

Lastly, I think my friend, Palindrome, is going to do a guest post for me! Yay! Her blog is Daises and Roses. Please follow it! She has some important things to say. She is very active in the pro-life movement! I think she's found God's calling for her, in some way.

On that note, I think I feel called to not only the Pro-Life movement but other things along those lines, like endign gendercide. (All Girls Allowed) But anyway, I'm still listening to God. I know every Christian is called to take part in the Pro-life movement because God is the creator of life. And, for all of you out there for that think the pro-life movement is only about abortion, I have to warn you: it isn't. That's the scary part.

Our lives, from ages 1 to 100 are being threatened, because the sanity of life is being torn down. Soon it won't only be the innocent unborn, but those already born. Living. Striving.

Scary, right?

Anyway, I got off track. Sorry!

I'm gonna go now because I'm tired and need to take a nap. I'll make an actual post sometime soon!

I regret.....

I regret...

Ignoring you.
Harboring evil thoughts about you.
Not trying.
Taking the easy way out.
How I acted that day.
Not caring.
What I said.
Being too scared.
Crying.
Hurting you.
Lacking faith in you.
Not finishing.
Watching that happen.
Hating myself.

I regret a lot of things. Who doesn't?
"Then they cried to the lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress." Psalms 107: 13 Lucky for us we can tell God about them.

"Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." 2 Cor. 7: 10. Lucky for us, our regrets can be washed away by Christ.

Lord, I regret something every day. Every day. Please, Lord, take these regrets of mine. Let them be no more.

Life is short, as we all know. How do you know when your's will end? You can't. So, toss all the regrets away, because ( I can't remember which song this is from) "Because all our mistakes make us who we are".

I know, sappy, sentimental post. I was just thinking. And, no, this has nothing to do with 'THE WORLD IS ENDING" tomorrow thing. If it does, who cares? We're all DEAD. Okay, I know that sound depressing but it's true.  I don't think that person is going to really care if you told them the truth, etc. if you're all dead.  You're conscious might feel better though, I guess. (My insane mind-wanderings HAVE to stop. xD)

Anyway, I'm going to lighten up this depressing post with...,you guessed it,....pictures! Happy, spring-ish pictures.

What's Going On...?

I went from blogging every hour to barely making post? What's going on here?

#1) I've been sitting on my iPod (Touch) all week, which makes it hard to make worthy post.

#2) Way too lazy.

#3) Nothing much to say. I haven't been taking many pictures ether. So, I don't even have THOSE to share.

I do have old photos to share though. So that's what I'll do.

2011 So Far
Cold weather's grasp of depression...

A glimpse of hope of warmth in the future...

New life, new adventures, tell me of spring...

Friendly pauses in the sun...

Favorite drinks make me feel warm...

Flower buds shout out, "Spring!"...

Easter brings tears for our Saviors rescue...

Meeting new friends and saving them at the same time...

I keep on thinking, "Spring is here and soon Summer will be here..."

Oh, 2011, you've had your ups and down. I can't help but believe though...,
you're going to be an amazing year.

I'm A Beautiful Disaster

"Beautiful Disaster"

She loves her momma's lemonade
Hates the sounds that goodbyes make
She prays one day she'll find someone to need her
She swears that there's no difference between the lies and compliments
It's all the same if everybody leaves her

And every magazine tells her she's not good enough
The pictures that she sees makes her cry

She would change everything, everything, just ask her
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster
She just needs someone to take her home

She's giving boys what they want
Tries to act so nonchalant
Afraid to see that she's lost her direction
She never stays the same for long
Assuming that she'll get it wrong
Perfect only in her imperfection

She's not a drama queen
She doesn't wanna feel this way
Only 17 and tired, yeah

She would change everything for happy ever after
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster
She just needs someone to take her home

She's just the way she is
But no one's told her that's OK

She would change everything, everything, just ask her
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster

She would change everything for happy ever after
Caught in the in between of beautiful disaster
She just needs someone to take her home
She just needs someone to take her home

One of my favorite songs. Ever. I swear he's singing about me and half of the other girls on the planet. x]
Enjoy!

Akita's Songs

Well, something screwed up blogger and now I've lost a post and can't see the newer post of other blogs. It also took away one of my followers. It won't show me some things. Why? Sigh.

Anyway, I had mad a nice post about The King's Speech. To sum up that post: I loved the movie.
Now, onto this amazing post.

I like to have songs for each of my story characters. Akita, who is my main character, has many songs. Most of them are rock and personal favorites. So, I present to you: Akita's Songs

1. Hero by Skillet
2. Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
3. Monster by Skillet
4. My Immortal by Evanesences

5. I Will Not Bow- Breaking Benjamin

That's actually all I can think of right now. Sounds kind of--depressing. xD
Anyway, hope all is good!

If I Were A Dragon...

One of my friends on Facebook made me think; if I was a dragon, what would I look like? Okay, so it's not you're everyday question but I think I found a few dragons that I wouldn't mind being.

Majestic looking is what I'd go for. Not the man-eating, fire-breathing monster, although that's pretty cool too.
I guess I like the 'Chinese" (that's what I call them) dragons, which are longer than most.
Over all, dragons are pretty cool. If you could be a dragon, what type would you be?

My name would be...Asinia. (If I spelled it right, it would be said: Az-scene-e-ah).
I'd have a loyal rider named Altrex.

If I had a story character who was involved with dragons she'd be named, Saberlin.
She'd look something like this:

Can you tell I'm in a writing mood?
Well, I'll stop pretending I'm a dragon and go do something productive. Sort of.

I do not own any of these photos.

Life

Life is full of many creatures...

Pretty things and interesting sights...

Great friends and good times...

New angels and thrills...

Long walks and good fun...

Wonderful patience and great joy...

Similar interest and combined ideas...

Long trips and peaceful scenes...

Waiting for things and saying good-bye to others...

Gardens growing tall and yards shining brighter...

The sun keeps shining and the world keeps turning...

Rough times and good ones too...

Wishing and wondering...

New family and old family too...

Growing in height and growing in mind...

Dramatic emotions and freedom...

Good laughs and good weather...

Friends in unlikely places and people you can't stand...

Perfect poses and awkward ones too...

Big grins and pretty faces...

Soft smiles and loving kisses...

Good girls and good boys...

Crazy kids and crazy dogs...

Dog slime and cats purrs...

Insanity and peace...
Oh, what fun it is to live my life.
Lia
